Monica McWilliams was one of the two women at the negotiating table to end the Northern Ireland conflict in 1996. Together with the team from Studio ZX|Zeit Verlagsgruppe and Robert Bosch Stiftung, I was able to create a graphic novel in which Monica McWilliams recalls the demanding process of that time. This culminated in a peace treaty in 1998. Her story shows why it is essential for successful peace processes to involve female perspectives and those directly affected by the conflict.
